Chapter 4

Nibbling my lower lip, I watched him pull the buckle apart and undo the top button of his pants.

“On your knees Ms. Chambers,” he said. “It’s time to receive your punishment.”

I sank slowly to the floor and fixed my gaze on the bulge in his pants. While I had a sneaking suspicion of what he was going to make me do, I also knew that there would be some sort of twist to his command. I handed him the clasp as well. It was a small, gold piece that looked like a modified clothespin. Long and thin, the clasp had rounded teeth to hold the colorful cloth in place.

“Why?”

He shook his head. “You are being punished for coming to me without being summoned first. For inventing excuses to see me without permission.” He folded the scarf into a long line. “This punishment is extra and not part of the ten. Do I make myself clear?”

My entire body trembled with anticipation. “Yes, sir.”

“Good. Because you are new to this rule, we’ll keep things simple.” He placed the scarf around my head, completely blocking my vision. Leaning over my body, he clasped it in the back to hold it in place.
